Renewable Energy Work by Global Green Solutions

Generating our own energy through renewable sources can benefit both the environment and our finances. Low-carbon technologies like wind turbines, solar panels, and wood fuel boilers use renewable energy sources, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, minimizing carbon footprints, and lowering fuel bills.

Collaboration with Natural Power Concepts (NPC)

Global Green Solutions (GGS) collaborates with Natural Power Concepts (NPC), a Hawaii-based alternative energy technology incubator. NPC focuses on innovative ways to harvest electricity from natural forces such as wind, waves, tidal and current flow, solar, and geothermal heat. Our partnership aims to develop efficient, cost-effective, environmentally safe, and wildlife-friendly power generation devices for grid distribution and industrial and consumer applications.

Key Guiding Principles

  1. Innovation in Natural Force Utilization: Our devices harness natural forces in new and previously unexploited ways, maximizing energy capture and efficiency.
  2. Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness: Designed to be highly efficient, cost-effective, and rugged, our devices are elegant, creative, and artistic.
  3. Industry Problem-Solving: We address common industry issues, such as storm damage avoidance for wind turbines, with innovative solutions.
  4. Low-Velocity Wind Capture: Our wind devices are optimized to capture more power from lower velocity winds, outperforming many current technologies.

Unique Features and Technologies

  • Efficient Blades, Fins, and Airfoils: These components are designed to eliminate problems commonly associated with marine and wind turbines, such as noise, bird and fish kills, storm damage, debris entanglement, and inefficiency.

  • High Velocity Mountain Wind Turbines: Systems designed to capture strong winds in mountainous, up-sloping terrains.

  • Low Velocity Wind Turbines: Devices that capture slow-moving winds around major population centers, making wind energy accessible in urban areas.

  • Innovative Wind Devices:

    • Folding Blade and Roof-Mounted Wind Turbines: Designed for high-rise and commercial buildings.

    • Spoked Wheel Wind Turbines: Specialized designs for capturing wind efficiently in various settings.

Project Highlight

In collaboration with the University of Hawaii, GGS undertook a project for the Municipality of Big Island, Hawaii, to generate electricity through geothermal heat and the electrolysis process to produce hydrogen, which is then converted into fuel cells. These hydrogen fuel cells are utilized to power public transport, demonstrating a practical application of renewable energy technology in a public infrastructure setting.

Project Details

  • Geothermal Heat Utilization: Harnessing geothermal heat for electricity generation.
  • Hydrogen Production via Electrolysis: Producing hydrogen through electrolysis, an efficient and sustainable process.
  • Fuel Cell Technology: Converting hydrogen into fuel cells to power public transport, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting clean energy use.
